Oh man, I used to make hummus all.the.time. I used to make my own almond milk too, but that is beside the point. I stopped making my own hummus when I found Sabra’s Roasted Red Pepper Hummus and became obsessed. And then like all things, I couldn’t eat hummus again for years because I ate so much of it. But as I was going through my pantry and saw my always stocked cans of chickpeas, I thought, “I need to make some hummus.” Here are some hummus dishes I really want to try:
Can’t go wrong with a simple garlic hummus. I used to make hummus so much I didn’t have to go by a recipe, but since it has been awhile, I’m going back to the basics.
I don’t like tahini. There, I said it. “But Callan, how can you like hummus without tahini.” Easy, Martha Stewart provides a recipe. Haha.
3. Beet hummus
I am so excited to try this beet hummus. I love beets and feta cheese and this looks soooo tasty. Yes, it has tahini (see above statement) but I don’t think it’ll be overpowering.
4. Jalapeños and apricot hummus
Yum yum yum.
This will probably be the one I make first. I love white bean hummus and have been on a Sriracha kick lately. It looks sooo good.
Let me know if you make one of these and jump back on the hummus train with me.
